Everyone knows an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but UK consumers are not particularly fussed about what type of apple they eat, and make selection mostly based on price. To overcome this and promote French apples in the UK we devised an on-shelf promotion which gave entrants the opportunity to win an iPod Touch for themselves and an Apple iMac for the school of their choice. The response was phenomenal, with ten lucky schools receiving brand new computers thanks to supporters entering the online contest.
