From the Sud de France to the South Bank
Here at Firecracker we love French food and wine and that’s why we were so pleased to be given the chance to help our latest client, Sud de France, to promote its fun packed Sud de France Joie De Vivre Festival that is being held at the South Bank, London on the 31st of August.
People naturally associate the south of France with holidays, beaches and Tamara Ecclestone’s marriage, but the whole point of this sunshine Festival event is to get across another message: that the region has plenty of superb produce too. In fact it’s one of France most successful food and drinks producers, with heaps of superb wines, exotic fruits, sumptuous cheeses, cooked meats, liqueurs, sweets, puddings and, of course, bread.. It’s a huge and very ‘tasty’ region indeed.
To raise awareness of the Joie De Vivre Festival we put together a funky microsite and an art deco styled poster carrying a fun competition that will feature in 100 independent wine merchants across London that promote the Sud de France. The competition, offers the prize of a stay for up to six people at the Château la Pompe, an expansively stylish French self catering home with gardens and swimming pool situated in Saint-Gilles in the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
Our idea was to make use of the latest Aurasma video technology and keep things simple. So, to enter, all entrants have to do is use their smartphone and watch a video featuring all the beautiful locations of the south of France and then answer a question that’s been derived from the video. The prize of a one week stay at the Chateau la Pompe has been kindly donated by Gites de France, a specialist holiday lettings company which has a host of other fantastic homes and locations on its books should you get the urge for a holiday with a difference.
The not-to-be-missed Joie de Vivre Festival is open to everyone and is being held along the South Bank on 31st August – you might even see Tamara there.
