
For the past four years Firecracker have been running an internal christmas initiative with the Eaves Foundation.
Eaves have shelters in London where victims of domestic violence are able to 'disappear' with their children from abusive spouses/partners. Often they have had to run in the middle of the night with the clothes on their backs and a favourite toy, nothing else.
The shelters offer a safe haven for 10-12 weeks until somewhere more permanent can be found for the families. They are out of contact by necessity from their friends and family.

We know it's Christmas when the briefs for e-cards start to come through. Yes, 65 Days to Christmas and counting. Of course you can be forgiven for missing this milestone, it's been under 'AOB' for so long it no longer seems like a real event. Retailers have been talking about it for months. On 28th June Hamley's released their Top 10 Christmas bestsellers. A month later Harrods and Selfridges opened their Christmas departments (and very lovely they are too). The food retailers have opened their Christmas delivery slots and the Garden Centres are promoting their Santa Parades.
